LET US REMEMBER!

Truly Awesome Rock There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed.

The guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60) approaches the guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) for a sail pass while under way in the Indian Ocean on Sept. 18, 2007.

The submitter writes, "The image shows Kennesaw National Battlefield, at night, on 11 Sept. 2006. One flag for each person killed was placed on the battlefield." (Kennesaw, GA)
